Clare Allcock

Clare joined Kaleidoscope from working for three clinical commissioning groups – Crawley, East Surrey, and Horsham & Mid Sussex – where she was heading up the primary care and community development team.

In previous lives, Clare was a Senior Policy Fellow at the Health Foundation. She has worked in national and local roles at NHS England and had a long stint at the Department of Health. She has experience in a plethora of policy areas including NHS policy, strategy and delivery, primary care, commissioning, urgent and emergency care, and patient and public involvement. She also dipped in and out of a number of ministerial private office roles working for Alan Milburn, Rosie Winterton and Lord Hunt of King’s Heath. She actually started her career as a PA for Simon Stevens(!)

Clare is particularly interested in finding ways to support NHS staff to have more fulfilling working lives that makes best use of everyone’s skills and talents. You can often hear Clare claiming that the key to everything is “all about relationships”.

Clare is married with two boys and lives happily by the seaside.
