Strategy that works

‘Strategy’ doesn’t always get a good press in the NHS.

Too often too vague, too waffly, too unrelated from the lived reality of staff. Is there a better way? Or should we be confining ‘strategy’ to the dustbin? We invited a panel of brilliant speakers to join us for this event sharing practical tips and insights from the Kaleidoscope team.

Who are the speakers?

  • Rachel Evans, Director of Strategy and People at the award-winning Oxleas NHS FT
  • Ravi Baghirathan, Chief Transformation Officer at Royal Free London NHS FT
  • Matthew Frost, Co-Founder of WeAreCompany, Kaleidoscope Associate, and former Chief Executive of Tearfund

Hosted by Rich Taunt, part of Kaleidoscope Health and Care.

What did the event cover?

We talked about how strategy can help with the NHS’s challenges, including:

  • practical tips on how to develop strategy that works
  • increased understanding of how strategy and culture can support each other
  • insight from other organisations
  • insight from the latest evidence relating to strategy development
  • connections with others in the NHS wrestling with similar problems.
