Dr Adam Turner
Adam has more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare, including more than a decade leading national NHS programmes. Organisational development, leadership and transformational change have run through his whole career. He knows what it’s like to lead under pressure and public scrutiny, and he brings this understanding to his work with clients.
Most recently, Adam led NHS England’s national work on workforce health, wellbeing and wider staff experience. This included leading the co-design and implementation of the first NHS workforce health and wellbeing strategy with more than 1,000 leaders. He also led a national review making the economic case for investing in staff health and wellbeing, and its findings informed the NHS 10 Year Health Plan.
Before this, Adam led organisational development, leadership and talent work at the NHS Leadership Academy. He designed national talent and leadership frameworks, and executive and senior leader development programmes. He also delivered bespoke consultancy for NHS organisations and co-designed the first national undergraduate leadership framework for healthcare.
At Kaleidoscope, Adam specialises in organisational development, workforce, culture and service transformation. He works through co-design, coaching and facilitation, helping boards and leadership teams find their own way through complex change. He is driven by empowering people to reach their full potential, so they can create positive change for others.
Adam holds a PhD in the personal resilience of executive leaders. He is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, an ILM-qualified executive coach, and accredited in psychometric tools including MBTI and DiSC.
Outside Kaleidoscope, Adam mentors young people with The King’s Trust and supervises business management research students at the University of Worcester. Come summer, you might find him dancing in a field at Glastonbury Festival.
