Nish Manek

Nish Manek is part of Kaleidoscope’s Advisory Group and part of our family of Associates.

Nish is a part-time newly qualified GP in Cambridge, and also has a role in the Primary Care Team for NHS England.

In 2017 she was a Clinical Fellow to the National Medical Director of the NHS, Sir Bruce Keogh. During this year she established a national leadership programme for new GPs called ‘Next Generation GP’, which has now trained more than 2,500 emerging GP leaders across the UK and Australia.

In June 2018 she was awarded a British Empire Medal for services to GP leadership development in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Nish has an interest in homeless health, coaching GPs, and has written for numerous publications including BBC Science Focus, the British Medical Journal, and The Guardian.

Working part-time allows her to enjoy chaotic days with her toddler, and she also loves running, playing football for her local team, and watching Liverpool FC.
