Next steps for Kaleidoscope

After more than a decade, our founder Rich Taunt is moving on. Here's what it means for Kaleidoscope

28 April 2026

We have some big news this week. Our founder – Rich Taunt – will be moving on from Kaleidoscope this summer. This decision comes after more than a decade leading a kind, commercially successful, employee-owned organisation. While the team, the Board and our really wonderful partners and clients will miss Rich, we know there is so much more for Kaleidoscope to do so whilst we wish Rich all the best in his next stage… we are excited about ours.

We have immense faith in our team and our work. Since we were founded in 2016, our impact has been incredible – we’ve worked with tens of thousands of people across hundreds of organisations, won awards, and have employed over 100 staff who can proudly claim to have been Part of Kaleidoscope.  We will continue to focus on three areas: strategy (helping organisations define what they want to do), organisational design & dynamics (working with organisations to deliver their objectives) and impact & insights (being clear what has happened as a result).

We’re currently working with a wider group of organisations than ever before on more and more complex questions and outcomes. Jess Tudor-Williams, who has been at the heart of Kaleidoscope’s work, will take on interim leadership of the organisation and support the process to find our new Chief Executive. We’ll be looking for someone really special to become Part of Kaleidoscope and to help shape and lead what comes next, which will include supporting us to continue to do great work.

Rich says:

“It’s been the professional honour of my life to have had the chance to work with so many exceptional people over the 3,500-plus days of Kaleidoscope’s life. This moment was always going to be bittersweet, but I’m, as always, in awe of the capability and creativity of my fellow Kscopers, and have no doubt Kaleidoscope will go on to great things.”

Louise Clarke, Kaleidoscope chair, says:

“Rich’s leadership has shaped Kaleidoscope in profound ways; embedding a culture of kindness, connection and ambition that will endure well beyond his tenure. We thank him sincerely for everything he has given and wish him the very best in his next chapter. Looking ahead, we are energised by the strength and talent of our team and the quality of our work with clients. Kaleidoscope has always been about evolution, and we’re excited to build on the past decade as we move forward. This transition also presents an exciting opportunity for a new Chief Executive to join Kaleidoscope and help shape its next phase. We are fortunate to have Jess Tudor-Williams stepping into interim leadership, bringing both continuity and deep understanding of what makes Kaleidoscope special.”

Our process for appointing a new Chief Executive has already begun. Our advert goes live imminently and will be posted on our website and LinkedIn so if this is you or someone you know we look forward to meeting you.
