Kaleidoscope’s engagement role in Change NHS initiative

Kaleidoscope is delighted to be supporting the development of the 10 Year Health Plan for England.

23 October 2024

Kaleidoscope is working with Thinks Insight & Strategy, the Institute for Public Policy Research and the Department of Health and Social Care on Change NHS – the national conversation about the future of the NHS, which will help shape the government’s plans to build a health service fit for the future.

Our role involves supporting DHSC to engage with staff across health and care to make sure their views and experiences are heard and that they inform this important work.

Clare Allcock, who is leading this work for Kaleidoscope, said:

“We’re delighted to be supporting this hugely important initiative. We’re particularly pleased to be leading work on staff engagement as it’s vital that the ideas and experiences of people working in health and care contribute to improving the NHS.”

The government’s plans are focused on three proposed shifts in healthcare: from hospital to community; analogue to digital; and sickness to prevention.

Members of the public, as well as NHS staff and experts, can share their experiences, views and ideas for fixing the NHS via the Change NHS online platform, which is live until the start of next year, and available via the NHS App.

The public engagement exercise will help shape the government’s 10 Year Health Plan which will be published in spring 2025.
