Changing Healthcare: learning from what works in the NHS
Join our event series bringing people together from across healthcare – in policy, delivery and strategy – to learn from successful change in the NHS.
The NHS Long Term Plan requires organisations to bring about large scale system change. Examples of change that have been successful in the past offer an untapped resource for those leading transformation in the present. Such case studies not only provide insights for their specific clinical area, but also wider lessons across the NHS.
What are we doing?
Bringing people together to improve health and care is what Kaleidoscope does. Previous work has demonstrated that using case studies to advance the discussion of major system change is effective.
Changing Healthcare will use four case studies of successful, large scale change in the NHS as themes to underpin four events that will focus on drawing out the learning for those working in, or thinking about, improvement and system change within the NHS.
It will bring together people from across the NHS and research to improve the delivery of major change.
The programme has been commissioned by NHS England and NHS Improvement and the Department of Health and Social Care (Research Programmes) and will be delivered in partnership with Health Services Research UK.
The events are open to everyone, but will be of particular interest to people working in service change, delivery, policy and research.
