We’re delighted to share that Shamela Kylassum is joining Kaleidoscope Health and Care as our new Chief Executive Officer. Shamela joins us on Monday 2 November.
Shamela will lead Kaleidoscope as we step into our second decade as an award-winning, employee owned social enterprise consultancy.
Twenty-five years of consulting and coaching
Shamela brings more than 25 years in consulting and coaching. She founded and led Pansophia Associates, a leadership and inclusion consultancy, and is currently a Coach and Director at Talking Talent, coaching and developing leaders across all sectors. Earlier in her career she delivered large-scale transformation as a management consultant at BT, PA Consulting and PwC.
She is passionate about helping organisations create cultures where people thrive, knowing that when employees flourish, those they serve receive outstanding care and service. In health and care, she has worked across primary and secondary care organisations, partnering with boards and staff to improve cultures and performance. During the pandemic she delivered more than 500 coaching sessions to NHS staff. She has also coached and advised executive teams and boards across government, finance, defence and technology. In 2019 she gave a TEDx-style talk on why connection matters in leadership.
Change happens with people, not to them
“I’m honoured to be joining Kaleidoscope at the start of its second decade,” says Shamela. “What drew me here is the people: their expertise, their commitment to outstanding impact, and the distinctive way they work: kind, commercially serious, and clear-eyed about the truth that change happens with people, not to them. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone, protecting what’s precious, growing what matters, and having fun making an even bigger impact together.”
Dr Louise Clarke, Chair of Kaleidoscope Health and Care, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Shamela to Kaleidoscope. What struck us during the recruitment process was her absolute commitment to the values that make Kaleidoscope the organisation it is. As we move into our second decade, we will keep doing work of the same quality for the clients who trust us. Please join us in giving Shamela a warm welcome.”
