Tackling loneliness during and after the Covid-19 pandemic
This interactive digital event explored the Ageing Better partnerships’ responses to the pandemic, and how to support the recovery of individuals and communities in the longer term.
It was the first event in the Ageing Better programme’s dissemination events series, taking place on 21 May 2020.
The event shared learning from the Ageing Better programme’s 14 partnerships, and considered how they and other organisations were responding to the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, applying what they’ve learnt about loneliness.
We also gained an understanding of organisations’ emerging thinking about how to support the recovery of individuals and communities in the longer term, and explore what resources might be needed to enable a more effective recovery for some of the most marginalised and vulnerable communities.
Around 80 people joined the event with many insights shared, 100% saying they would recommend an event like this to a colleague.
It was heartening to hear there is such unity in our thinking regarding recovery and the future.
