Supporting connection – the importance of groups

This interactive digital event featured learning from the Ageing Better programme partnerships on the importance of groups in tackling loneliness and isolation.

It was the fourth event in the Ageing Better programme’s dissemination events series, taking place on 3 December 2020.

In this event, we heard from three local partnerships from the Ageing Better programme about what they’ve learned about helping people aged 50+ to feel connected through community groups.

After hearing opening perspectives from the speakers, there were discussions in smaller groups, enabling participants to connect and share their own learning and explore their most pressing questions.

Around 100 people joined the event with many insights shared, 100% saying they would recommend an event like this to a colleague.

“Extremely well run, information giving well balanced with group discussion
