Spread and Scale Academy
The South East London Spread and Scale Academy is a training event designed to give people the tools and skills needed to spread improvements and innovations at scale across their organisations and beyond.
It is open to teams from all parts of our health and care system who have successful projects that are ready to spread and scale across our integrated care system.
We welcome applications from teams in south east London, particularly where there is a mix of organisations who have collaborated on an innovative project to benefit health and wellbeing.
We also welcome applications from projects developed in or outside of south east London, where there is an opportunity to scale them within the ICS led by local teams and deliver better care for our community.
The best thing I’ve attended in my career by a long way…
The Spread and Scale Academy is delivered by the Dragon’s Heart Institute in partnership with the Billions Institute, an American organisation that specialises in teaching how to deliver large-scale meaningful change.
The Spread and Scale Academy will be held in south east London on 20, 21 and 22 September 2022.
A pre-session will be held on Tuesday 30 August, 5 – 6.30pm.
Applications are open until Sunday 7 August 2022
What does spread and scale mean?
It takes around 17 years for any given solution to spread to even half of the population who could benefit from it. We don’t have that kind of time.
Even worse, according to a study in the UK, 95% of large-scale change initiatives do not achieve their intended outcomes. Don’t let that be you!
You’ve had a great idea. But once you’ve proved that it works, how do you unleash its reach and impact at pace without causing burnout?
The Spread and Scale Academy will help you do just that. It will have a revolutionary impact on your organisation, accelerate transformational change, and empower you and your colleagues to achieve your aims.
Our South East London Academy follows on from the success of the partnership between the Dragon’s Heart Institute, the Billions Institute (find out more about the principal teacher Becky Margiotta) and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
Seven teams attended the March Academy in Cardiff, describing the experience as “inspiring” and “motivating”.
If you have an idea or project that’s ready to spread, let us help you unleash it so that as many people as possible can benefit from your work.
