Melting Pot Lunch: tackling loneliness now and in the future

Join our online conversation with Olivia Field from the British Red Cross on tackling the loneliness crisis. Bring your own lunch!

While it has become trickier for us to sit down for lunch face to face, we are taking our traditional Melting Pot Lunch format into the digital age.

Join Olivia Field from the British Red Cross for our online Melting Pot Lunch. She will be starting our conversation about tackling the loneliness crisis now and in the future.

Today we have a Minister for Loneliness, and the world’s first cross-Government strategy to tackle loneliness, but what does this mean for people on the ground? What might the COVID-19 emergency mean for the tackling loneliness agenda?

The British Red Cross has a long record of supporting people experiencing loneliness and social isolation. Most recently, they worked in partnership with the Co-op, raising awareness and launching social prescribing services to tackle loneliness and social isolation in communities across the UK. Read more about the British Red Cross’ work on loneliness.

12:30-2pm (bring your own lunch) to this online discussion.
