Coronavirus statement

Updated September 2020

Our thoughts and sympathy are with all those impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak.

It’s been a rough year for everyone, especially for people in the health and social care sectors. This is a crisis that feels far from over. While we hope that the worst of it has passed, we know that the effects of this pandemic will be far reaching.

People working in health and social care continue to do extraordinary things and to make enormous sacrifices.

At Kaleidoscope our mission is to support kindness, connection and joy. That’s always been our mission, but it feels like the need for it has never been greater. And when people are ill, exhausted and resources are stretched, these are things that matter and make dire situations bearable.

We have not changed what we do, but we have changed how we do it. We have always been known for our energetic and inclusive events. Now we have digital tools to host really positive, engaging and interactive experiences online too.

  • We’ve taken much of our live events portfolio online. We’ve worked really hard to create formats that, although they are sophisticated technologically, still feel very human. Our digital events keep people engaged and energised and foster real connection and lively conversations.
  • We are reviewing and tailoring our face to face event offer, so we can keep people safe while maintaining our reputation for quality and content.
  • We are committed to our mission. During lockdown we hosted ABC (Apart But Connected) chats on YouTube to bring together people to talk about health challenges. We are continuing to bring people together at free events to connect and share their ideas for better practice with our Melting Pot lunches.

There’s been a lot of talk of people re-evaluating, of questioning their priorities because of the pandemic. We looked at ours, only to redouble our commitment to kindness, connection and joy. For us, some things will never change. So let us know if there is something we can do, contact us with your thoughts – we’d love to hear from you.
