Coronavirus statement

How can we help you?

Our thoughts and sympathy are with all those impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

These strange times will become far stranger, and far sadder, before they are over. Kaleidoscope exists to work with others to help build a future which is kind, connected and joyful. In the rush to stockpile, seal off, and shut down, this can seem a bit trivial, a bit beside the point.

Healthcare is a different sort of industry because of what it asks of those it employs. Core to the job is the desire to do things others would rather not do: putting themselves (and their families) in danger, witnessing scenes of immense sorrow, never entirely being off duty.

At Kaleidoscope we seek to support kindness, connection and joy partly because we think they’re the only things which can make the rest of it bearable. As the task gets harder, so the need for kindness, connection and joy becomes greater.

We feel our mission has never been more needed, yet one of our primary ways of delivering that – bringing people together face-to-face – has never been less possible. So we’re here to help in different ways. We’re beavering away on ideas:

  • we’ve taken our Melting Pot Lunches online
  • we’ve started ABC Chat, a weekly half hour live conversation to remain apart but connected.

We think that what we can offer digitally has never been more exciting.

But more than anything, we want to know what we can do to help you. We’re all working in new ways, whatever role we play. What could we do to make your life, and the lives of those you serve, kinder, more connected and more joyful?

Just contact us with your thoughts – we’d love to hear from you.
